Job Summary
Seeking flexible, motived person to join the production team at our Warren, MI vertical turbine pump manufacturer. This person will report to the Production Floor Lead and Operations Manager to assist where needed, including, but not limited to: pump assembly, shipping and receiving, paint, machining, pickup and delivery. This position offers a lot of variety to build experience across all aspects of production. Wherever there is a need that is most pressing is where you’ll be assigned each day.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Drive company vehicles to pick up or deliver pumps or parts to vendors or customers.
- Assist Production Floor Leader and mechanics with pump assembly.
- Assist Shipping and Receiving department to load/unload trucks, put away inventory, QC incoming material.
- Assist paint department when they are backed up.
- Assist Machine Shop Leader as required and instructed.
- Deburr and balance impellers for Production/Assembly Department.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Must have the ability to read a tape measure. Reading micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators a plus.
- Build skids, headboards & miscellaneous enclosures for shipping purposes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Valid drivers license and chauffeurs license (Minimum) is required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- Some manufacturing/mechanical experience necessary, skill training provided on the job.
- Must have basic computer skills.
