Ruthman Companies Creates New Position to Support Sales and Marketing

Amanda Clifton moves from national sales team to corporate operations role

Ruthman Companies’ Central States Regional Manager Amanda Clifton (PSAP/PSC1) has been promoted to the newly created position of Executive Vice President – Sales and Marketing. The move formalizes her unofficial role of ‘Go-To Problem Solver’ for many inside and outside our organization—frequently wearing many hats and sharing her deep pump expertise.

In this new role, she will be responsible for inside sales and marketing efforts for all Ruthman’s manufacturing brands. Her initial focus will be on establishing a training program for inside sales teams, expanding their technical pump knowledge, and further elevating customer service skills. She will also continue to guide corporate marketing efforts, drawing on her extensive product knowledge, understanding of market dynamics, and insight into customer needs.

Prior to taking on the Regional Sales Manager role in 2023, Amanda was a long-time Inside Sales Representative at Ruthman’s Gusher Pumps division. In addition to her duties fielding inquiries, quoting pumps, and training new inside sales representatives, her team attitude saw her taking on projects such as the company’s ISO coordination, ERP integration, and PumpIQ selector development.

Amanda has nearly 20 years of pump industry experience which includes her time at Gusher and Ruthman, as well as a stint with distributor OTC Industrial Technologies. Recently, she successfully completed a rigorous evaluation to earn the Hydraulic Institute’s Pump System Assessment Professional (PSAP/PSC1) certification.

As Amanda transitions into this role, she will continue to support customers in the Central States region. Recruitment is underway for a new Ruthman Regional Sales Representative to cover her territory.
